Administration and Information Pavilion

Agri-food Technopark, Qujing, China, 2011

This pavilion constitutes a platform for education and exchanges on the subject of agro-business at the Chinese and global scale. The building, mostly devoted to professionals, brings together different administrative services, including teaching spaces as well as a 400-seat auditorium. The ground floor is open to the general public offering spaces for entertainment and exhibitions showcasing the interrelationships between the agribusiness and the greater economy. Wishing to create a landmark building, the pavilion is constructed on the highest part of the site and stretches its 10,000 m² vertically. Its emblematic role suggests a metaphor for agriculture through the juxtaposition of the light, water and earth on the façade. Partnering architects: ARCOP
