Ahuntsic-Cartierville Park Pavilions

Montréal, 2008

The initial project comprised the demolition and reconstruction of four park pavilions, the renovation of four additional pavilions, and the repair of pool and landscape maintenance equipment. The architects would take a minimalist approach, choosing to reuse significant elements of the existing structure (i.e. foundations and brick walls) instead of a complete demolition. The minimalism would continue to be recognized through the architectural language that, despite the diversity of each pavilion, would offer a sense of uniformity. One of the pavilions is set to achieve LEED accreditation. Partnering architects: Bergeron-Thouin Architects.
