Master plan: Université de Montreal hospital center, ongoing
The UniversityHealthCenter project aims to group the Saint-Luc, Notre-Dame and Hôtel-Dieu campuses in downtown Montreal. This major 289,000 m² complex includes a 35,600 m² research centre and a 254,000 m² hospital, housing 772 beds on a very small 9,175 m² site which is populated with heritage buildings. Following analyses of the FTP and the Real Property Master Plan, several massing and organisational studies were explored, working within the project’s regulations and program requirements. Developing a reference model allowed us to define the technical and conceptual criteria. Partnering architects: Birtz, Bastien, Beaudoin, Laforest – Provencher Roy – Yelle Maillé – Arcop – Ellerbe Becket.
