Côte-Sainte-Catherine Residence

2010

This house, with an exceptional past, bore traces of multiple occupations, the most remarkable being an observatory designed by Roger d’Astous and the use of the ground floor as an architect’s office. The intervention consisted in restoring the function of the family house by reorganising the two stories and by emphasising an open plan free from constraints. The atmosphere of the house is defined by accentuating of structural elements, highlighting the quality of materials, transparency and luminosity. The design evolved over the course of construction in a short span of four months.
