Hamstead Residence

2010

Abandoned for several years, this residence was in rough shape, with pyrite and mould problems, and so a complete renovation and the addition of a story required particular care in the choice of interventions. The result is eloquent: a residence with soft contemporary lines proposing a clear segmentation of spaces.

As the heart of the house are spaces that stage family moments: the meal and all that comes with it. A highly technical but nonetheless friendly kitchen facilitates preparation, and the meal itself can be eaten quickly and casually at island-counter, or more formally in the adjacent dining room, nestled behind the delightful filter of an object-staircase.
