Jewish General Hospital

Montreal, 2006

The acquisition of a large parcel north of the site and the anticipated growth of the hospital initiated the planning of a new pavilion dedicated to critical care: emergency, operating block, critical care unit, medical imaging, neonatology, obstetric, medical and surgical units. The Master Plan evaluated construction possibilities and the Development Plan adapted municipal regulations to the planning of the emergency care, operating block and other care units to present a response adequate to the needs. Later, a pre-concept design specifying the phasing was developed and presented to the Quebec Ministry of Health and Social Services and the Agence de la Santé et des Services sociaux de Montréal.
