Real Property Master Plan and Master Plan, Montreal, 2005 and 2008
The Master Plan of Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital was to evaluate the feasibility of building on this site. This study made it possible to identify major constraints, develop a long-term solution to the main urban and architectural challenges, and propose development options for the complex in order to achieve optimal functionality. With a built area of 215,000 m² on a135,000 m² site, the establishment aims at integrating 35,500 m² to more immediate projects and reserving 61,000 m² to longer term undertakings. After a rigorous and careful study of the reports and plans, the formulation of guiding principles, and the development of scenarios, it was possible to recommend a specific option.
