Residential Development

Agri-Food Technopark, Qujing, China, 2010

Residential development of more than 3000 units of two distinct models intended for two types of clientele. The first area proposes row houses and deluxe condominiums in buildings with four to eight storeys. The alignment of the houses follow the undulating topography of the site, creating bands of landscaping and offering exceptional views on Lake Bai Sha. The housing units are inserted perpendicularly by fractioning the linearity and delineating appropriable exterior spaces. The second model offers workers an inexpensive housing model promoting the feeling of belonging to the community. Situated in the south, the main entrance to each block marks the start of a transition path headed north, reminiscent of the orientation of traditional Chinese architecture.
